Our Core Values

Work & Family Balance

Machine Tool Research (MTR) understands and values a healthy work-family balance. As an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company, we all share the responsibility of ensuring we keep this balance. MTR expects hard work and some time away from family as our work includes field service time, but we understand the importance of family time. If an employee owner has a healthy home-life, they are more likely to have a healthy work-life.

Hard Work

The saying goes, “All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads to poverty.” MTR ensures that all hard work is rewarded. With hard work comes pride in the work completed; some of the hardest things in life are the most rewarding.

Reliability

MTR has a reputation of dedication to customers’ needs while providing expert machine tool knowledge. MTR puts the customer first and stands by the work completed no matter what the circumstance. We want our customers to remember our relentless customer response and pride in our work.

Quality

MTR understands that quality is not an act, it is a habit. On a daily basis MTR employee owners take quality seriously by ensuring that everything is examined with a fine-tooth comb. From the initial estimate to delivery of the final product, you can rely on MTR to deliver the highest-quality services.

Accountability

At MTR, our success is a result of what we do daily. We fully understand that if every day we meet our goals and accomplish them successfully, we are creating accountable individuals within the workplace. By holding each other accountable, we foster an environment of success.

Communication

The art of communication is the language of leadership. MTR communicates with our customers and employees the same way, ensuring everyone has a clear understanding of what is expected from the beginning of a project to its end.

Integrity

Here at MTR, we preach that “Real integrity is doing the right thing, knowing that no one has to watch over your work.” As employee owners we all have a common goal: always do your best and never cut corners for the sake of just completing a project. We want our products and services to withstand the test of time, as our customers’ satisfaction is most beneficial to our future.

Knowledge & Leadership

MTR employee owners lead by example. We understand each project is unique and comes with its own challenges. We employ very knowledgeable, self-driven individuals in every department, and with that develops leadership. MTR uses that leadership to continually educate the employees, while keeping the niche trade secrets at the core of the business.
